Good News for ATM Card Holders

The Finance Minister in her previous announcements, related to measures taken up to deal with the impact of Covid-19, had announced that all the Banks would waive their ATM Service charges for using of ATM by the card holders of all the SBI and other Bank ATMs.  No service charges would be taken for transaction made on the ATMs.  The said waiver of charges will remain in effect till 30th  June 2020. Now if a card holder’s transactions on ATM exceeds the free number of transactions, he will have to pay no charges for that transaction.

In response to the Finmin’s announcement, the Country’s largest Bank State Bank of India (SBI) has waived service charges for all ATM transactions made on SBI ATMs. The bank has made an official announcement in this regard on its website on 15 April 2020 and mails have also been forwarded to its customers by the Bank.  The Bank in its announcement has said, “In view of the announcement made by Finance Minister on 24th  March, State Bank of India has decided to waive ATM charges for all ATM transactions made on SBI ATMs and other bank ATMs on account of exceeding free number of transactions up to 30th June,” the announcement was posted on SBI’s official website.
